Sheridan's versatile Kenzie Garner makes history for Points in a Tourney Game!

SHERIDAN, Ind. -- Sheridan's versatile Kenzie Garner became part of Indiana basketball history last spring as the 6-1 senior dropped 40 points on Sectional opponent Lapel. That point total tied her for tenth all-time in a girls IHSAA tourney game since the advent of the modern era (post 1937.)

The Blackhawks needed nearly all of them as they downed a game Bulldog squad, 54-47 to claim the Sectional title. Sheridan would go on to capture a Regional title before being martyred in the Semistate by Rensselaer. The Blackhawks finished their outstanding season 25-2.

[WINCHESTER, Ind. (WISH) — Union Schools in Modoc on Friday got its first win in a court fight to stay open in the coming school year and beyond, but it’s just the beginning of the district’s legal battle.

KOKOMO, Ind. – (Updated 6/20) A good Varsity Club member reports the Kokomo Boys Job should be a great job for somebody. John Peckinpaugh left a good situation for another good opportunity. Insight insists nothing more to it besides that. The incoming sophomore class is deep and talented with two of those guys playing heavy minutes as freshmen last season. Incoming Freshmen class very talented and successful in middle school. 8th grade class is said to be one of the best groups they have had possibly better than sophomore group that is very talented. Senior class headlined by two talented guards, one possibly could be Indiana All-Star this season. Incoming Junior class is where the current weak spot is at, one talented player returning that logged significant varsity minutes after him on paper there is not much from last season. However, good Varsity Clubber reports a 6’10 transfer has been added to that class over the summer.
