Clinton Prairie's Farley Breaks State Record for 3's!

FRANKFORT, Ind. -- Clinton Prairie senior Alex Farley had a game to remember when the Gophers hosted conference rival Eastern last week. The CP senior set a new state record by burying 10(!) threes in the first half. This breaks the previous mark of 9 held by three different players.

Additionally his 7 threes in a quarter and 12 for the game tie him for first and 3rd in those categories respectively. Farley would finish with 40 points and reportedly didn't play in the 4th quarter of the 91-49. Clinton Prairie now stands at 11-2.

South Central (Elizabeth) senior Cole Thomas tied a school record with 52 points in a game while Oak Hill sophomore Jace Tonagel set a school record with 17 assists in a game, and that guard duo headlines this week’s honorees in the IBCA/Franciscan Health Player of the Week program for 2024-25.

Watching Basketball and Pet Peeves

I watch a lot of games.
1. 3 point shooters falling down by kicking their legs out or just falling.
2. The block/charge...so subjective. There are rules to go by, but it's still so subjective as are many of the rules, but that one...
3. Kids falling, Game delayed, laying there, leaving under their own power, then checking back in very soon.
4. No play by play on hudl...I realize that cannot be a thing, but sometimes you wonder what the heck is going on and have no idea.
5. How much emphasis we put on scoring when I see so much good defense, passing and rebounding by role players who make a difference in the game.
