Bedford North Lawrence girls - Departing Coach Jeff Allen
BEDFORD, Ind. -- (Updated 2/15) BNL athletic department has announced via Twitter/X that Coach Allen has stepped down after ten seasons (226-45) with the Stars. Last season was another great one for BNL as they finished 20-5 and took home the Sectional. Incoming coach will be without four seniors including much of the contributions to those 20 wins - Including a Miss Basketball candidate. 5-6 sr-2-b Tori Nikirk is expected back at guard, as is 5-6 forward and classmate Katie Godlevske. Both logged substantial time in supporting roles. However, good Varsity Clubber points to two underclassmen as keys to next year’s version of BNL. 5-7 Jr-2-b guard Trinidy Bailey (appeared in all varsity games) and 5-9 soph-2-b post Miley Sherrill (12 PPG & 5 RPG as a varsity frosh.) Hoosier Hills Conference always nails. Early name mentioned is JV Coach Brett Holtz, but also an email contradicting that. No teaching gigs at this time.
