I am searching for any tangible details like a date or school so that I can research and write-up the details of an oral story I have heard a bit about. Any help would be appreciated if you can shed some further light on this. Here's what I have heard, and I honestly don't know if there is a shred of truth to any of this.

Just a really good story that I would love to uncover and bring back to life - if it actually happened..

Here's what I have heard - none of this confirmed in any way..

- Following an upset win, a group of students from an opposing school paraded to or around Franklin High School.
- They carried an effigy of a grizzly cub and/or a casket that had been fashioned in some sort to represent the death of Franklin's team
- School was placed on probation or completely banned from tourney play because of this.

I have searched IHSAA records for an account of punishments dished out, and I have found nothing that points to something of this nature.

One account has students leaving their school during the school day to parade to Franklin.

If it truly involved students leaving a school and marching to Franklin, there are only a handful that would've been close enough. (Union Twp, Hopewell??)

Hopewell won Sectional in 1952 and Union copped one in 1916 - Neither had any newspaper reports in Franklin paper regarding anything of this nature. Although I guess it wouldn't have to be Sectional.

Anybody else ever heard anything about this story?
