Will give Richmond big props for asking to be relieved of semi state hosting to be able to follow team. Certainly this will have some negative economic impact on Richmond community with hotels, restaurants, and gas stations, so it really is quite a deal!
And it eliminated two issues that could of turned negative for the IHSAA and Richmond itself - 1) a team getting to play on their home floor for Semi State and 2) with five schools in the south residing within a half hour of the Illinois State Line with Indiana and then one, two, or three of them having to travel within minutes of the Ohio/Indiana state line to play.
