I was looking through some old Sport Illustrated mags, and re-read the story about Tulane and Boston College basketball point-shaving scandals.
It got me to wondering if there had ever been a similar scandal involving Indiana high school teams.
Betting on high school sports now is far more rare, but not too long ago lines for high school games were easy to obtain.
I recall during my time at Indiana State, there was a cigar store on Wabash that openly took bets across the counter on just about anything you can imagine, including most Wabash Valley area high school games.
The Jeffersonville/New Albany area was once rife with book-makers, and most are aware of the alleged gambling involvement in one Jeff's early runs to the Final Four in 1935.

Valpo, Vincennes, Indy, and Evansville were also known gambling hotbeds.
However, I am wondering if anyone has heard any stories from the past involving players or coaches actually being accused of shaving points.
Now that I have access to some of these glorious old newspaper databases, I would love to try to run down the details. Any help?
