AD Chip Mehaffey reports that the Holland Hysteria event to honor the Holland community and 50 years of Indiana Girls HS basketball was a huge success. Great attendance with lots of Holland High letter jackets, former Holland players and cheerleaders in attendance, and a spirited game between the Lady Raiders (Lady Holland Dutchmen for the night) wearing Holland High throwback uniforms and the fine Perry Central girls team that came in undefeated. The old fashioned looking programs were a big hit as well. Holland (Southridge) ended up winning 37-21.
I mentioned to another that it would've been far easier to simply roll out the ball rack and have a normal game night. This sort of extra effort is truly appreciated by all those that hold our heritage dear. Southridge High and Indiana basketball are fortunate indeed to count Mehaffey as a steward of our great game.
The photos from the event are just as great as you'd think they'd be!
