I was having a conversation with a coach the other day and this came up. Are we seeing times change where a kid is just playing to have something to do or only practicing when it's basketball season? I've talked to players who've said yes we want to win but we don't want to go all the extra work. To be honest this pisses me off and is totally disrespectible to the game. Hopefull this doesn't become a tend. Winning doesn't seem to mean anything to them any more for some reason. I'm interested to see how everyone else views this. We know the excitement isn't dead judging by the crowds at Seymour and New Castle this past weekend.
Kids playing basketball....just to have something to do?
