Controversial finish at the IC-Greensburg game at IC. The Creek gets behind big time in the third quarter, battles back to take the lead by 2 with 3.1 sec. to go. Greensburg calls timeout, has ball out of bounds the length of the floor. Quick dribble advances ball to the frontcourt where G'burg throws up a wild runner that goes in with no time on the clock. Everyone assumes overtime, but no.......the official signals 3 pt. shot and game over. Everyone was stunned, including the Greensburg fans and the kid that shot the ball. Officials confer, and other two appear to question the call, but the official moves away from the others, repeats the three point signal, then races off the court by himself. Strange finish to an exciting game. I didn't have the best view of the last shot but sure didn't think he was outside the arc. In talking to several others after the game no one remotely imagined the shot was a three pointer. People in Trafalgar, Morgantown and Nineveh will be talking about this one for some time.
