Tri girls – Departing Coach Jeff Miller

STRAUGHN, Ind. – (Updated 3/8) While Tri is not officially open yet, prospective coaches should keep this one on their radar as Coach Miller informed his team he will not be back after 15 seasons and over 200 wins. Last season the Titans were 9-8 but competitive as always. Tri has only had one losing season in the last 17. Good Varsity Clubber reports four seniors set to graduate including their two leading scorers which will likely be felt. Not all is lost, however. 5-10 jr-2-b post Bailey Parham is expected back, as are her 12 ppg, 11 rpg and proven post defense. Reports points to 27 rebounds in one game. 5-10 jr-2-b center Abi Clark also adds to already strong front line. Report indicates that finding quality backcourt play to replace last year’s grads will be the challenge for incoming coach. 5-5 sr-2-b Ashtyn Harvey may help in that area as she logged extended varsity time, but she was not asked to handle point duties previously. Not much expected from below average JV squad. Looking down the road, 7th and 8th grade teams both pretty solid – won county titles this past season. No teaching jobs yet.
