Tri boys – Departing Coach Scott McIntosh
STRAUGHN, Ind. – (Updated 3/17) Word now that Coach Scott McIntosh is resigning after two years with the Titans. Coach is leaving of his own accord and not a force-out situation. Last year’s Tri squad finished 5-18. Three pretty significant contributors graduate, but good Varsity Clubber reports an experienced group is waiting in the wings. Jrs-2-b include 6-2 Caelin Huffman (8.0 ppg,) 6-4 Parker Burk (6.9 ppg, 4.3 rpg,) 5-9 Mason Wilson (6.4 ppg, 3.2 apg) and 6-4 Daniel Davis (7.0 ppg.) Report continues that the four played a great deal of varsity as sophs. Sr-2-be 6-0 Christian McLemore (3.5 ppg) also expected back. Couple of soph-2-b kids from JV reportedly ready for varsity: Josiah Cox and Kyran Huffman. Incoming freshmen has a nice class - Won Henry County tournament as 7th and 8th graders. Girls Coach Jeff Miller has already announced his retirement from coaching and teaching, so his govt teaching gig at Tri High should be in play here as well as for the girls. No internal interest expected.
