This is the 5th boys opening (of 8) this spring in the WRC conference. That is a lot of turnover and I have heard rumors of another of the coaches applying for other jobs.

Riverton Parke boys - Departing Coach Lucas Steward
MONTEZUMA, Ind. – (Updated 5/16) Now official that Coach Steward has submitted his resignation to the board. Coach was 11-38 during his two seasons leading the Panthers, most recently going 8-17. Good Varsity Club member reports this could be an interesting opening as all but two Panthers should be back. They are led by jr-2-b all-around athlete Jonah Hopkins. The 5-10 guard hit for about 17PPG last year as a varsity soph. Another multi-sport athlete is 5-10 sr-2-b guard Collett Sanders. He should return with his 10PPG and experience at PG. Several other underclassmen all gained valuable varsity playing time, and Varsity Club report indicates R-P may return close to 50PPG as a team! JV reported as average. Unsure if Coach Steward has also resigned his MS SS position, but report does say zero teaching jobs at this point if that one is not in play.
