Logansport girls – Departing Coach Meranda Cooper
LOGANSPORT, Ind. – (Updated 3/17) Coach Cooper will not be back next year after 6 seasons with the Berries. Last year Logan finished 5-16. Good Varsity Club member reports that even with the NCC in a downturn right now, Logansport finds itself likely competing to reach the Mendoza line. The cupboard is not entirely empty as Varsity Clubber reports only two seniors graduate. A batch of jrs-2-b logged considerable varsity time as sophs. PG Gabby Richie is arguably the strongest, but other contributors are there. No world beaters, but enough to compete and game-plan around. A couple of Frosh also saw limited varsity minutes. Varsity Clubber reports JV had a winning NCC and season record. Both 7th and 8th grade described as decent. Although Logansport plays what is considered a pretty tough schedule it was dotted with no less than nine schools in the smaller classes. 4A Sectional 7 is no cakewalk though. (McCutcheon, Northwestern, Harrison, Kokomo, Lafayette Jeff and Marion) HS Math and Eled open at this date, more expected. Drug screen involved.
