Pendleton Heights boys - Departing Coach Adam Ballard
PENDLETON, Ind. -- (Updated 7/13) Coach Ballar will not be back after three seasons with the Arabians. Oddly each of the three resulted in a 8-win season. Mixed reports on whether Coach was asked to resign or if it was of his own accord. Likewise, reports indicate some of the staff was reportedly asked back while others were not. One thing seems universal from all reports. Current batch of parents are coo coo for CocoPuffs. Also of interest is that end of season roster sported zero seniors. So all 50+ PPG is slated to be back. No world beaters among them, but 6-7 sr-2-b Josiah Gustin went for 13 & 7 last go round, and 6-3 jr-2-b forward Evan Mozingo dropped 12 PPG as a soph. After that, new Coach will have several 5-6 PPG on the roster. Varsity Clubber reports this team has several issues, but.. If new coach can parley first year honeymoon stage through some difficult personalities and parent issues, there is potential here for a very solid season. Looking down the line, Varsity Club member reports decent talent through the mill. JV was 15-5, Frosh were 18-2, 8th 10-11, and 7th was 12-7. Current teaching openings include: HS Business, HS Biology, Several Eled.
