Kouts boys - (Updated ¾) Coach Marty Gaff was named interim replacing Matt Crawford after January resignation. Coach Gaff went 398-261 during a career spanning 31 seasons. Coach finished out the regular season 6-3. Good Varsity Club member reports that Kouts should be capable of competing once again in the PCC. 6-2 jr-2-b Ethan Ketchmark and sr-2-b Jared Birky are two that reportedly buy in and are ready to lead next year. If all return that are eligible, the Mustangs have the potential to field a pretty decent group of seniors-2-b that have some size and athleticism. Prospective candidates are now doubt interested in the events that led to the rare mid-season coaching change. While there are always multiple sides to every conflict, it is this writer's view that the coast is clear for a new coach to get a fair chance. No timeline yet available since Mustangs still kicking in tourney.
