Bloomfield boys - Departing Coach JB Neill
BLOOMFIELD, Ind. -- (Updated 3/22) Can now confirm Bloomfield board has voted not to renew Coach Neill’s contract by a vote of 5-2. The Cards went 13-14 last season and finished Sectional runners-up. They also finished seventh in the 16-team Wabash Valley Classic. Varsity Club member reports that only one senior was on last season’s roster and many considered what the Cardinals accomplished as a pretty successful season overall. However, a small town school board felt otherwise. At least enough of them did to get the coach fired. Teaching jobs are limited at this point. Varsity Clubber adds school is posting an odd HS/MS Math/Science/Stem position - as in one job. Unsure at this posting if Coach Neill is also out as AD. Approach with caution.
