[LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (WYMT) - South Laurel High School named Tod Windlan as its next girls’ basketball head coach on Wednesday afternoon. Windlan joins the Cardinals having 20 total years of head coaching experience.
Windlan, a native of Anderson, IN, comes in with an overall coaching record of 250-160.
“South Laurel High School is among the elite programs in Kentucky and it is both an honor and privilege to be named its head girls’ basketball coach,” Windlan said. “Competing against the best teams and coaches in the state of Kentucky and playing in a one-class system are among the things I’m most looking forward to. We want to add more district, region, and state championships to this storied program! I look forward to meeting the players, parents, and community soon. Go Lady Cards!”
Windlan has held coaching stints at Hamilton Heights and Carmel High School. His 2013 team at Hamilton Heights was the Class 3A State Runners-Up while his squad at Carmel won three consecutive sectional championships from 2016-2018.]
