SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Washington's Kira Reynolds recently pulled off what no Hoosier high school player has ever done before - a quintuple double in an Indiana varsity basketball game. Her remarkable 14 points, 18 rebounds, 12 assists, 11 steals AND 10 blocks vs. New Prairie on Jan. 4 of this year sparked several conversations among basketball historians regarding her accomplishment.
To date, it has been determined that no other player, boys or girls, has accomplished this. The conversation then turned to attempting to document those that have come close. Admittedly, this will be a tough one to track as stats weren't always kept as closely as they are today, and unfortunately some may have simply been lost to history. However, thanks to the efforts of several contributors, most notably Pat McKee, a solid first effort has been made. Feel free to contact me if you have an addition, correction, or even just a lead on this brand new category of the Record Book.
