[South Bend Adams boys basketball coach Chad Johnston reached a career milestone Monday, picking up his 300th victory in a 59-46 home win over Bremen.
He became the third coach in South Bend history to reach 300 career wins, joining former Adams coach Dave Hadaway (315 wins) and Mark Johnson, who won a total of 470 games across stops at the now-defunct LaSalle, Riley and Saint Joseph. Hadaway — who the court at Adams High School is named after — was inducted into the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame in 2000, and Johnson is surely on his way there as well.]
