Jennings County boys - Departing Coach Rob Kent
NORTH VERNON, Ind. -- (Updated 4/1) Word now that Coach Kent has resigned after just one season (11-14) with the Panthers. Varsity Club member reports rumors swirling about just who will be in JC uni next season. Mixed reports on sr-2-b Carter Kent (Coach’s son) maybe staying along with this 25PPG. However, the 6-5 jr-2-b and multi-sport athlete Parker Elmore looks to be transferring. Elmore was out this year due to injury but is described as a true difference maker. Could be one both or none at this point, but what is for certain is that the Panthers graduated most of their contributors beyond the two in limbo above. This one has the potential to be a very lean roster if things break the wrong way for incoming coach. A difficult Hoosier Hills Conference schedule does them no favors either. Varsity Club member indicates no teaching job at present, but that is likely to change later this spring.
