Avon was the overwhelming favorite of our contestants in Week 1, as all but three of them picked the Orioles over Plainfield. However, their 4 point win over the Quakers was quite a bit less dominating than our players likely had anticipated. The big winner in our first round was Kdoades, whose pick of North Vermillion over the Turkey Run Warriors netted a whopping 61 points from the Falcons' 68-7 victory. Big d 2 and hhsdawg are tied for second with 33 from their pick of the Whiting Oilers over the Hammond Clark Pioneers.
It is rare to have a single player in front with such a large lead so early, but the contest is not won or lost in the first week. Check back next week to see our standings after the second round!
