2015-16 All-State Selections:
Fans,
Shown below are my annual All-State player selections for the
2015-16 season. These selections were based on my own personal observations
along with statistical information gathered on most of the schools around the state.
Most of the info used for this analysis was derived from the following sources:
* Coaches from 136 schools
* www.maxpreps.com, the IHSAA-endorsed statistical service, provided usable
data for 229 schools.
* E.T.Pearl’s excellent website which provides complete statistical info for
61 schools in North Central Indiana. See etpearl.homestead.com./
* subscribing to five different newspapers
* researching the websites of several other papers and basketball sites
A big Thank You to everyone who provided information!!
I’m biased, but I believe these are the best All-State teams that are selected.
This in not because I’ve picked them, but instead is due to all of the information
that was available to assist with the selections. I doubt seriously that the coaches
and members of the media who are asked to make selections in March and
early-April are fortunate enough to have as much information available to them.
If you think someone deserving was left off the list, don’t hesitate to let me know
at Dan.Wantz@yahoo.com. It’s possible he might be an individual for whom I
didn’t have enough info to properly rank.
COMING SOON:
2015-16 Junior All-State Selections (May 3rd)
2015-16 Soph/Frosh All-State Selections (May 4th)
2016-17 PRE-SEASON TEAM RANKINGS (later in May)
Enjoy,
Daniel Wantz
ALL-STATE TEAMS (regardless of Class Year)(Each player’s scoring average and, if relevant, rebounding and assist average is shown. Also, team won-lost record is shown, since team success
is a strong component of my selections.)
NOTE: Selections are based mainly on how players performed this past season.
Where they are, or might be, attending school at the collegiate level is given
little, if any, consideration.
