From the beginning of last season through Nov. 1, 176 people have been hired as new varsity basketball coaches in Indiana high schools – 84 to boys’ basketball positions and 92 to girls’ basketball positions – for the 2018-19 season.
This is the fourth greatest number of changes in the past 20 years. In the spring and summer of 2014, a record 197 changes were made; in 2007, 188 changes were made; and in 2017, 187 changes were made.
