Tipton's Cassidy Crawford surpassed the Tipton girls single game scoring record of 38 with a 40 point performance against Reavis (Burbank IL) during the Tipton Girls Holiday Tournament on Friday.
Saturday night Cassidy broke the Tipton Lady Devils and Tipton County all time scoring records with a 30 point performance vs. Guerin Catholic in a 67 - 36 win.
She surpasses the 1575 point records held by 2016 graduate Macie Lively. Macie was in attendance tonight as Cassidy broke her records. Cassidy’s game tonight gives her a career total of 1592.
One aside to Cassidy Crawford's surpassing of the school record for girls is that her brother Mike holds the Tipton boys scoring record at 2104 points and Cassidy's (as of now) 1592 combines for third in the state for a brother/sister duo at 3696 points.
Prior to this Mike and Lela (862) Crawford were at ninth with a combined total of 2966 points.
Second place brother/sister duo is John (2064) and Ellen (1885) Hamilton of Greenfield Central at 3949 points.
