Tech boys – Departing Coach Jason Delaney

(Updated 8/3) – Coach Delaney departs to lead city rival Cathedral. Delaney has gone 97-24 during his time with Tech including a 2014 State Title. The Titans were 18-6 last season, but next year’s roster won’t bare much resemblance. No less than ten seniors saw some action last season, and five were substantial contributors. Two sr-2-b posts should return with varsity experience. 6-4 Ernest Myles went for 9 ppg and 7 rbs a game as a thin post player. 6-1 Samir Hayes also back as a forward with some varsity experience. No varsity guard play returning – as in zero. An athletic but error-prone backcourt will have to be developed. What could possibly go wrong?

North Vermillion boys – Departing Coach Nate O’Neall

(Updated 8/3) – Coach Nate O’Neall to Shakamak prior to first game. Last year’s NV squad was 19-10 with a loss at the Regional level under Coach Sam Karr. However, five seniors depart, and good Varsity Club member reports only about 13 ppg to return. 6-4 sr-2-b Drew Buchhass is lone returner with any extended varsity time, and that translated to 4 ppg and 5 rebounds. Getting mixed reports in regards to returning parent issues.
