I know this is a basketball sight, but this is funny.
I just talked to an official that did the Tri-West/Danville softball game at TW.
Apparently the plate ump of the Varsity game was a parent to a player on the Danville team (JV think). Word got to the TW AD and they pulled the ump off and had my buddy who was the base ump do the game by himself from the 4th inning on and the JV game by himself.
First, why would a parent accept that game. Conference foe, county foe?
Second, since the game finished with one ump and was varsity game is it really a legal game?
The ump that did it said it was a mess.
