INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- Last night's second quarter of Roncalli's home date with University saw the Royals do something never before been accomplished in an Indiana girls' game.
Roncalli flat out scorched the nets by hitting no less than nine three pointers during the historic stretch. The Royals used their 30-point burst to blow open what had been an 8-point lead and went on to coast to a running clock win, 67-26.
Roncalli moved to 2-1 on the young season, and University dropped there third game of the year. Six other teams previously held state best honors with seven three's in a quarter.
