I really thought at the outset that the Pacers were on to something with the Hickory jerseys. They could even double down and wear Milan, Attucks, Muncie Central etc for special nights, but leave it to the Pacers to blow it again.
They choose a Friday night game to unveil them. Of all nights, high school Friday night.. The night that used to be reserved for prep sports, the very level the Pacers pay tribute to. Indiana Sectional football and plenty of girls basketball game trying to do their thing on their night.
..But just maybe the Pacers aren't paying tribute to a Hoosier institution at all and are simply trying to create another payday for themselves in the form of new uniform sales.
