The Seton Catholic girls won the Connersville sectional tonight. Twitter reports from the Pal-Item reporter indicate Seton has seven girls on the team.
The last IHSAA enrollment stats showed Seton as the fifth smallest school in the state with an enrollment of 81.
While the Seton boys beating Richmond and Warren Central at Wettig this year was a big story, this is even bigger. One player can have such a big impact in basketball. It is a lot harder in track and field in a ten team meet. Yes one runner / athlete can win a state meet on their own, but you need more than a few top performers to win a sectional. Given the enrollment disparity to Connersville and Richmond, this is a tremendous accomplishment.
