I have gone from absolutely loving the NBA in the 1980's and 1990's to pretty much treating the league like Cricket. That being said, I do enjoy this Pacer team. Bill Simmons podcast did a piece about them, and it pretty much restated exactly how I feel about them. Love the toughness, and the way they pass first.
I wonder, though, if the NBA will allow them to get very far. I'm not a huge conspiracy guy, but there is no national star power on this team, and I just feel like the NBA would prefer just about any other team or market in the finals. Still, it is fun to have basketball games to care about in May.
