North Judson-San Pierre's new AD is not one person, but two, Middle School principal Kelly Shepherd, and High School Assistant Principal Kevin Cox are sharing the duties. Former AD Robb Vessely, who was a tremendous AD, left last year after the girls regional due to budget cuts. It is a real shame, though he did get a severance package. A former AD at the collegiate level in Illinois, and at Noblesville, Vessely is moving back into the collegiate field. Cox and Shepherd are both former NJ-SP student-athletes. Cox was a standout quarterback at Indiana State, while Shepherd was a standout basketball player at Goshen College. Shepherd and Cox were classmates in high school, but Shepherd dropped out of football after middle school because they would have competed for the quarterback slot. Cox's father, Gary Cox, was a longtime football coach at North Judson, and Kevin followed him for a long run as coach. The Bluejays are in good hands with Shepherd and Cox.
