Smith Academy AD, Gary Merrell reports the Fighting 54th will not field a boys team this season. They do not have enough high school boys interested in playing basketball. Yep, you read that right. The 1A school in Ft. Wayne has cancelled their 2024-25 season.
Merrell adds they do have a good group of middle school athletes and plan to be back in 2025-26.
