Chris points out: There have been other state championship games that included coaches who went on to win more combined games (among those that immediately come to mind: 1989 LN – Kokomo, Keefer & Mawbey now have 1,442 and 1975 Marion – Loogootee, Green & Butcher ended up with 1,217), but those coaches would not have been over 1,000 combined wins when those games occurred.
