I was asked by friends Jerry Crowe and Dave Worland - players on Lafayette Central Catholic's 1973 Sectional championship basketball team - to come to a reception dinner last Friday night and cover this event.
There are sixty-four sectional champions crowned each March here in Indiana in boys basketball, so why is this particular one from fifty years ago so special?
Many from around the state consider it one of the most important sectional titles ever won in the history of what we know as Hoosier Hysteria.
