During Monday night’s school board meeting, Prairie Heights put to motion and passed unanimously the induction of Brent Byler as athletic director and Todd Watkins as the varsity boys basketball head coach.
Byler fills the position that former athletic director Bryce Heller left vacant after retiring following the 2017-18 school year, and Watkins fills the position that was occupied by Greg Holmes last season, when the Panthers went 8-15.
“Some of my strengths are what the position has needs for,” Byler said about the athletic director position. “I always get picked on by friends for planning vacations too much in detail, so I might as well find a position that is detail-oriented.”
