[New Castle High School has gone north for its new girls varsity basketball head coach.
Friday, the New Castle Community School Board voted to approve the hiring of Brandon Bradley, who has been head coach of the Whitko High School girls basketball team for the past six seasons, as the new varsity head coach of the Trojan girls.
Bradley, a native of Indianapolis, explained his reasons why he sought the position here.
“First of all,” Bradley said, “I wanted to move to Central Indiana to be a little closer to my parents who are nearing retirement age. Secondly, what better place to come than to the world’s largest and finest high school gym and build what I hope to be a top-10 program that competes every year for championships.”]
