[Coaching has taken Garry Laymon to many different places.
After spending time at Cleveland, Laymon returned to Cambridge City recently as an assistant coach for the Lincoln girls basketball team.
Laymon was announced Tuesday as Lincoln’s next girls basketball coach.
“I love Lincoln, love Cambridge City, love our community, my kids go here, I just love the area,” Laymon said. “I love the school system. I always want to be involved as much as I can, I just love dealing with the kids and an opportunity like this came, I definitely wanted it.”
Laymon spent the last two years as Lincoln’s junior varsity coach under Rob Bills, who stepped down after three years as head coach.]
