1962 Mississinewa grad and former coach Herb McPherson is being inducted into the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame on Wednesday. Herb was Grant County's leading scorer when he graduated and is still in 3rd place behind James Blackmon & Jay Edwards with 1,736 points. Herb is also in the Grant County Sports HOF and the Murray State HOF. Herb graduated from MSU in 1966 as the school's all-time leading scorer and still holds the single game record of 44. After his playing days, he returned to Mississinewa as an assistant coach for 7 years and head coach from 1973-77 & 1998-2000. He was also an assistant at Marion from 1996-98 where his son Brad won the Trester Award in 1998. He also coached at North Posey for a time. Congrats to Herb for this great accomplishment.
