FW Luers boys – Departing Coach JJ Foster
(Updated 6/27) – Coach Foster leaves to take over at FW South. Luers was 53-31 during his four years with the Knights. Last year’s squad went 19-8 and was just one game away from making another appearance in the 3A State Finals. But good Varsity Club member reports that matters little as no less than nine seniors depart. Amazingly less than six points return from a roster that averaged over 60 a game. JV was 11-10 and Frosh finished 15-5. Both will have to provide athletes for a depleted varsity barring transfers. Health, English, and Math all reported as HS openings at this time. More possible.
