Long time official John Goss died on Monday

Sorry to hear the news. I had a post card from John in file of letters after he had completed a class taught by Ernie Sohl at Purdue Calumet. At that time we were hiring 2 officials ($15 each) and they worked both games. In the 60s the older officials started bringing a newcomer with them to work the JV game and each of the varsity officials worked a half. John came with Ernie and Bob Kramer and that launched a long career. RIP John.
