Read the moving story about Hugh Schaefer from Freelandville and South Knox. A man after my own heart with his love of Indiana High school basketball and it's history, and there is a wealth of history in Knox county. Like he said at some point each one of the small schools had there day in the sun. Monroe City Blue Jeans, which was always my favorite among the pre consolidated schools in Knox county, to his hometown Freelandville Dutchman of 1941. A great read about a great man.Sure hope he does eventually write that book. See when he passes he has another great Knox County historian to be the keeper of the records in Keith Doades.
