IHSAA, WTHR Announce Video Streaming Partnership
The IHSAA and WTHR Channel 13 in Indianapolis have partnered for the 2018 football season to bring high school sports fans more opportunities to watch their favorite teams and student‐athletes.
Each Friday night, starting August 24, 2018, the IHSAAtv Game of the Week presented by Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance will also air on many WTHR digital platforms, including WTHR.com, the WTHR News App for iOS and Android, the WTHR Facebook Page, and the WTHR Now OTT App on FireTV, Apple TV, and Roku.
“We are excited to continue to grow our relationship with WTHR,” said Heath Shanahan, IHSAA Director of Broadcast Operations.
“They have always been huge supporters of ours, from Operation Football to supporting our Cato Memorial Scholarships. We couldn’t be happier to offer more ways for fans to see high school student‐athletes in action.”
“Every day, WTHR strives to engage and enrich the lives of our family, friends and neighbors right where we live,” says Larry Delia, president and general manager of WTHR.
“As a new season of high school football kicks off, we’re proud to partner with the IHSAA to share that hometown spirit with everyone across Central Indiana through the IHSAA Game of the Week across many of our digital platforms.”
Along with the WTHR digital platforms, fans will be able to watch the contests on IHSAAtv.org, on the IHSAAtv mobile app for iPhone, iPad, and Android, on the IHSAAtv social media platforms (Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube), and on the IHSAAtv OTT Suite (Apple TV, Roku, and Amazon Fire).
