Congrats to Indianapolis Howe junior guard Kycia Washington on scoring his 1000th Career point tonight in our opening Shenandoah Sectional game against Knightstown.
He came into tonight's game nine points shy and finished with twelve on the night, after some early foul trouble limited his first half minutes.
Howe prevailed over a spirited effort by Knightstown 68-51 after the lead approached 30 midway through the second half.
In the opener at 2A Shenandoah, the host Raiders held off a very good Eastern Hancock team 66-53, avenging a January 20th loss to the Royals.
Shenandoah meets Irvington Prep on Friday while Howe plays Triton Central in the nightcap.
