The Southridge Raiders and the Indianapolis Chatard Trojans had the biggest wins in Week 7 as both teams notched 42 point victories, but they were each selected by only one of our contestants. The most popular pick in this round was the Martinsville Artesians, who clipped the wings of the Perry Meridian Falcons in a 49-32 decision. Our players spread their picks over five different teams this week after choosing only three in Week 6. Five of our teams recorded winning margins of 30 or more points, and two - Castle and Eastern Hancock - suffered defeats.
Bonus trivia: Martinsville quarterback Tyler Adkins threw six touchdown passes in Friday's game, making him the third QB that Martinsville head coach Brian Dugger has coached to accomplish that feat. The first two were Luke Johnston and Eddie Schott, whom Dugger coached when he was an assistant at Southport. And in all three cases, the six touchdown passes were thrown in a game against Perry Meridian.
We had some movement on our leaderboard this week! Nick Jenkinson remains in first place with 243 points, but ysuindy is right behind after having moved up from fourth to second with 242. hhsdawg dropped one spot into third with 236 points, and Rob Deweese made a step up from fifth to fourth with 235. Ranger 20 fell two positions to fifth place with 232 points. Our top five players are now separated by only 11 points with just two weeks to go!
