After a week in which our players picked only two teams, this round saw them choose six different teams. The most popular pick was the 4A #10 Indianapolis Chatard Trojans, who finally got their first win in a 62-17 dismantling of Southport. The only other team picked by multiple players was the Martinsville Artesians, who defeated the Franklin Grizzly Cubs by 16 points. Three of our teams suffered losses, with Southridge getting the worst of it in a 54 point drubbing at the hands of the 3A #4 Gibson Southern Titans. A schedule change affected another of our teams this week, as Eastern Hancock's original opponent (Knightstown) was unable to play. The Royals picked up a game with 1A #10 South Putnam instead, and lost to the Eagles 20-7.
Despite the relatively large number of teams chosen by our contestants, there was no movement in the standings in Week 5. ysuindy added 10 points to his lead, retaining first place with 210 points. Nick Jenkinson is in second place with 190 points, and hhsdawg remains in third with 183. Ranger 20 is in fourth place with 179, adding 15 points to the gap between him and Rob Deweese, who rounds out our top five with 158 points.
