6A #3 Merrillville was the most popular pick among our players this week, and the Pirates delivered a 37 point win over the Crown Point Bulldogs. The largest margin of victory in Week 3 came from the 5A #14 Castle Knights, who blanked the Evansville Bosse Bulldogs, 49-0 (our teams did well against opponents called the Bulldogs!). Three of our teams came out on the wrong end of the score, including the 1A #3 Parke Heritage Wolves, who were bombed by the 1A #5 Adams Central Flying Jets, 35-0. 4A #7 Indianapolis Chatard, playing one of the most difficult schedules in the state, fell to 0-3 in their loss to the 4A #1 Indianapolis Roncalli Royals. Things do not get easier next week as the Trojans take on the 5A #1 Indianapolis Cathedral Fighting Irish.

Special note: tiebreaker predictions are due this week! In the event of a tie at the end of the contest, the winner will be the contestant who comes closest to predicting the total combined score of the eight teams playing at Ball State's Scheumann Stadium on September 11 (Madison-Grant vs. Mississinewa; Alexandria vs. Blackford; Frankton vs. Elwood; Oak Hill vs. Eastbrook). Predictions for the tiebreaker must be submitted no later than Sep. 10 at 6:00 pm ET. If you fail to send in a tiebreaker prediction and you end up in a tie with a player who did send one, the other player will be ranked ahead of you in the final standings.
If you haven't already sent in your pick for Week 4, be sure to email it to shsfan475@gmail.com by 6:00 pm ET on Friday, Sep. 10!
