Plymouth girls – Departing Coach Dave Duncan
PLYMOUTH, Ind. – (Updated 4/28) Basketball gentleman Chuck Freeby is reporting that Coach Duncan is retiring after ten seasons (124-84) with the Pilgrims. Duncan’s squads have been consistently competitive for some time including last season’s 11-10 team. Four seniors are set to leave from that team including two All-Northern Lakes Conference players. Varsity Clubber highlights the likely return of 6-0 sr-2-b forward Clare Sheedy as well as 5-10 sr-2-b Sara Hunter. Both letter winners should provide veteran experience. Just about all experienced backcourt players gone. Competitive JV may have to supply several roster spots for upcoming campaign. Report indicates some height in lower grades. Solid feeder system in place with Saturday youth league etc. More teaching positions expected, but as of now: HS FACS, HS Industrial Tech, HS Health, HS Biology, and MS Science. All that being said, Varsity Clubber points out that Plymouth with some history of hiring from within.
