Westview boys – Departing Coach Rob Yoder (interim)

TOPEKA, Ind. – (Updated 3/8
) Coach Yoder was named interim last June after Coach Ed Bently resigned after one season to take the Eastside job. Last season the Warriors went 7-16 including a 10-point first round tourney loss to Sectional Runner-up, Eastside. Westview finished Northeast Corner Conference (Eastside, Hamilton, Busco, Central Noble, Fairfield, Prairie Hts, Lakeland, Garrett, Angola, Fremont, West Noble) play 4-7. Good Varsity Club member reports Warriors graduate high scoring Mason Yoder, but do return several underclassmen that earned their varsity wings last season. Sr-2-b Brady Yoder is arguably the best, but other pieces are expected back. Nine players expected back with varsity time under their belts now. Report goes on to state that defensively the Warrior were (and should remain) solid. Scoring will again be the issue, especially with the graduation of Mason (Who popped for 30+ on several occasions last season.) Looking down the road - JV average. However, very strong 7th grade group won conference last season. Reported current teaching openings MS Math, HS Business, MS Guidance, MS ELA, HS Study Hall monitor.
