Westfield girls - Departing Coach Ginny Smith
WESTFIELD, Ind. -- (Updated 2/16) Shamrocks looking for a new sideline leader after another terrific season, 18-5. One could easily make the argument that, at least at present, Westfield’s tourney path may be the toughest in the state. Their Sectional is ridiculous right now, and their conference is not much better. Good Varsity Club member reports five seniors graduate, but also points out that JV was well above average, going 16-4 against a top flight schedule. Outstanding facilities and talent in the pipeline to keep Shamrocks competitive well into the future. However, good Varsity Club member underscores getting to the next level of Sectional and conference titles will continue to be a genuine challenge given that their opponents can boast the same. Pressure to win is as bad as you think it is, Westfield is the club sports Mecca of the Midwest after all. Apps deadline 3/3, Intvs week of 3/7, Coach named April board meeting. Openings include Eled, MS Homebound, more expected for fall. Inside names mentioned include current Westfield assts Kari Lienerth and Courtney Lickliter
