Western Boone boys – Departing Coach JR Howell
(Updated 5/25) – Good Varsity Club member reports Webo graduates one key player from last year. He was main ball handler and overall best player. Future is bright, however. Rest of team is back and the JV had a solid season and had 3-4 kids that could step in as varsity players this year. Definite potential for success there. Also, the sectional realignment didn't hurt. Even though Stars are the smallest 3A, moving Tri-West out of the sectional makes it a very competitive field with a lot of similarity of talent between all the teams. New AD coming in, not determined yet. Varsity Clubber goes on to report Webo has a full time strength coach. All athletes take weights class during the school day. Boys will definitely be an outside hire.
